why eco?

for the past year, i've been reading articles and blogs (i'm an avid blog reader) about ethical fashion. i found that i agreed with a lot of what i read and so decided to do more with my purchasing power. earlier this week, i came upon a great article in the guardian entitled "how shopping has taken over our lives" and the inherent waste built into cheap and cheerful chic.

in b.c., lefty internet paper, the tyee has been doing interesting stories about sustainable fashion and food. check out the article on green jeans.
